Ela

I undertook a Diploma in Swedish Massage with the Scottish Massage Schools whilst still at school. I have had a long-standing passion for the discipline! After completing my professional training, I set up my massage therapy business in Aberdeenshire and completed other related courses, such as one in Hot Stone Massaging.

I’m now a qualified Sports Therapist after successfully completing my studies in Glasgow. My clients benefit from my knowledge and experience in identifying, rehabilitating and helping ‘fix’ damage from sports and training related injuries. Qualified in both massage and sports therapy, I can combine the two into an individualised programme. Treatment promoting proactive prevention of injury is the ideal but sometimes, just a bit of pampering in the form of a massage can go a long way towards supporting physical and mental health.

Steven

My journey started when I graduated from City of Glasgow College in 2018 with a Higher National Diploma in Sports Therapy. This led me onto studying a BSc in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University, graduating with a First-Class Honours degree in 2022.

My interest in rehabilitation developed after I attended physiotherapy for a knee injury I sustained in 2015. Experiencing the rehabilitation process first-hand gave me a valuable insight into the positive impact physiotherapy can have on recovery, both physically and mentally. It allowed me to appreciate the importance of evidence-based treatment, patient education and individualised rehabilitation programmes. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in physiotherapy, with the aim of helping others regain function, confidence and quality of life through effective rehabilitation.

I am currently a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. My role keeps me in contact with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions across both acute and chronic stages. Additionally, I have worked in professional football, allowing me to develop a well-rounded knowledge of sports-related injuries. I believe that combining evidence-based rehabilitation with professional guidance, enthusiasm and motivation provides patients with the best opportunity to achieve a successful recovery.

Pablo

Hi I’m Pablo, Sports Therapist.

I completed an HND in Sports Therapy at Glasgow City College and am continuing my studies towards an Honours Degree in Sports Rehabilitation, with the aim of helping people recover from injuries and prevent future ones.

My passion for sports rehabilitation began in 2016 after suffering an ACL and meniscus tear. Following surgery, I spent many hours working closely with my physiotherapist to ensure a successful recovery so I could return to play handball in highest level. This experience, along with learning more about my injury, inspired me to develop a strong interest in rehabilitation and injury treatment.

After moving to Glasgow, I pursued this interest academically and professionally, developing a particular passion for injury management, rehabilitation, and sports massage.

Alongside working at Glasgow Massage Clinic, I am currently the Sport Therapist for the Great Britain U18 Handball team and Cartha Queens Park RFC who compete in National 3 rugby league. Also I serve as coach and Sports Therapist for the Glasgow University Handball Club.

In these roles, I apply my anatomical knowledge to assess, treat, and manage training-related injuries, while ensuring athletes fully understand their condition and recovery process to support effective rehabilitation.

Jenna

Hi I’m Jenna, I am currently in my 3rd year of the BSc Physiotherapy programme at GCU. Having had clinical experience I love being able to help people achieve a variety of goals. Wanting to further my knowledge, I recently completed a level 3 diploma in sports massage which I absolutely loved. I knew instantly that I wanted to work offering massage. I am excited to meet new people and get started at Glasgow Massage Clinic.

Nico

I completed my HNC and HND in Soft Tissue Therapy at City of Glasgow College before graduating from Queen Margaret University with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation.

My passion for sports rehabilitation and massage therapy began after suffering multiple ACL injuries and undergoing several knee surgeries during my football career. Working with exceptional physiotherapists throughout my rehabilitation inspired me to pursue a career helping others recover from injury. I have also shared my experiences by contributing to the British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) Patient Voices.

Alongside my work at Glasgow Massage Clinic, I am the Sports Therapist for the Next Gen youth teams at Glasgow City FC, where I assess, treat, and rehabilitate injuries sustained during training and matches. I believe recovery is about more than the injury itself, taking into account the physical, mental, and emotional challenges to help every patient return with confidence.
