GLASGOW MASSAGE CLINIC - SPORTS INJURIES - MUSCLE INJURIES GLASGOW
Ela
I undertook a Diploma in Swedish Massage with the Scottish Massage Schools whilst still at school. I have had a long-standing passion for the discipline! After completing my professional training, I set up my massage therapy business in Aberdeenshire and completed other related courses, such as one in Hot Stone Massaging.
I’m now a qualified Sports Therapist after successfully completing my studies in Glasgow. My clients benefit from my knowledge and experience in identifying, rehabilitating and helping ‘fix’ damage from sports and training related injuries. Qualified in both massage and sports therapy, I can combine the two into an individualised programme. Treatment promoting proactive prevention of injury is the ideal but sometimes, just a bit of pampering in the form of a massage can go a long way towards supporting physical and mental health.

Steven
Having graduated from City of Glasgow College in 2018 with a Higher National Diploma in Sports Therapy, it has since been a desire of mine to help people overcome their physical challenges.
My interest in rehabilitation developed shortly after I personally underwent reconstructive knee surgery back in 2015. Suffering an injury and subsequent surgery has given me a fabulous insight into massage as a treatment method in both its immediate and long-term therapeutic effects both physically and mentally. Massage helped overcome my injury and has allowed me to get back to fully functional fitness in the shortest timeframe possible. I’m now studying physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University, which has already taught me so much that I can use at work.
I am currently a sports therapist working for a Professional Football Teams Youth Academy. My role keeps me in touch with the range of injuries, similar to those that present to me at the clinic. As a result, I have a well-rounded knowledge of sports related injuries – both at the acute and chronic stages. The right combination of rehabilitation and professional guidance, coupled with enthusiasm and motivation, is a powerful proven aid to recovery.

Pablo
I completed the HNC in Soft Tissue Therapy in Glasgow City College. I am continuing my studies to obtain my HND in Sport Therapy so as to help treat people and prevent injuries.
My passion for Sport Therapy started back in 2016 when I suffered an ACL and meniscus tear on my knee. After the surgery, I had to spend many hours working alongside my physiotherapist to recover promptly; I was keen to get back to playing handball. Myrehabilitation - and learning more about my injury - made me very enthusiastic about this discipline. When I moved to Glasgow, I decided to start studying in the college to pursue my desired career, finding a great passion for massage and injury treatment.
Alongside working in Glasgow Massage Clinic, I am a coach for the Glasgow University Handball Club. Here, I use my anatomy knowledge to help my players with any injuries that might arise due to training. A proper explanation of the problem and guidance to understand the problem makes for a perfect combination for successful recovery.

Scott
I graduated with an honours degree in sports science before pursuing my chosen career of physiotherapy. I recently graduated from my Masters programme in physiotherapy and have previously obtained my level 3 diploma in sports massage.
I have previously attended the Glasgow School of Sport for badminton and played for over 14 years; I can fully empathise with those suffering from injuries, aches and pains. My experience from sports science, the physiotherapy degree and placement experience within chronic pain management, allow me to practice confidently within my scope of practice.
I have a passion for injury prevention and management as a result of personal experience, as well as clinical experience. Therefore, I feel strongly about utilising massage as a means to prevent injury, and manage these injuries, or even just unwind from a stressful week. A proactive approach to recovery is always encouraged utilising these treatments alongside self-management to move and feel better on a day-to-day basis.
